Holograms are used in the new technologies of aviation, automobiles, attractive packing of goods, creation of three-dimensional art works, fashion pictures, registration of valuable artefacts, etc.
Several companies work on holographic displays development (Lucente, Galyean, 1995), (Kamys, 2004), holographic video (Freedman, 2002), (David, 2004), (Overton, 2006) and television holographic system (Slocombe, 2005), (Keats, 2006).
One of the significant areas where holography brought about something totally new is protection of documents and objects against counterfaiting (Fiala et al, 1998), (Fontelera, 2005).
More detailed information about the future of holography is given in chapter Prospects of Holography.
